As you read these, please speak them aloud to yourself. The form of most of my poems reflects a strong belief that poetry should be a spoken, visceral art rather than a bloodless intellectual exercise meant for eyes and brain only.
I'm very interested in oral-tradition poetry like the surviving Viking material, Beowulf, Homer, the Kalevala, and so forth. I'm not a fan of most `modern' poetry, which has largely forgotten the roots of the art in speech and song and dance and chant and ritual and invocation. I go back to those for inspiration.
